Ladies, based on my experience from several moves, the biggest pitfall is packing boxes! I bought huge boxes to pack more stuff, only to find they were impossible to move – I was shocked!
The first time I moved across provinces, I bought 90×60×60 cm boxes and packed six boxes all by myself. I figured the move would be free, and someone would help, but the movers were stunned when they saw the size of the boxes. Everyone, please be aware that while boxes have a large capacity, packing too many things makes them too heavy to lift, and they're also more prone to breakage!
Life advice: Don't buy overly large boxes! I recommend buying 60×40×50 cm boxes in the future. When packing, make sure to mix heavy and light items; otherwise, uneven packing will make moving extremely difficult. Wrap the boxes with stretch film several times to prevent water damage and cracking in bad weather.
Buy your materials two weeks in advance, and ideally start packing two weeks in advance, packing a little each day. This will prevent things from getting lost. There are many ways to send packages now, and you can choose the appropriate method according to your needs.
